Getting Started
Becoming a patient in our practice is as easy as 1-2-3!
- Step 1
Call our office at 206.382.0461 and talk to Laura. She will set you up with an appointment for your initial exam. All patients are examined before any treatment (including cleaning) is done.
- Step 2
Becoming a new patient usually takes two visits. At the first, your paperwork will be reviewed, your teeth, gums, bite, and soft tissue examined, a cancer screening performed, and any necessary films taken. Usually this first visit takes anywhere from 40 minutes to an hour. If possible, we will help you arrange to have films and records from your previous dentist forwarded to our office.
- Step 3
Your second visit usually is scheduled five to seven days later. It begins with review of findings and discussion of what treatment, if any, is needed, along with options, time constraints, costs, and office policies. There is no cost for this consultation. Generally the first cleaning is done immediately after this consultation, but that can be changed if your circumstances require it.
Some patients have very limited needs. Others, especially those with dental fears, might find they have more extensive problems. At your consultation we will “triage” your treatment plan to set a priority list of most urgent first, and thus minimize further damage.
Continuing Care
Once your immediate needs are handled, we are available to help keep you healthy with regularly scheduled check ups and cleanings. “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”.
